I was born and raised in the Adirondack Mountains. I met my wife, Elena Dylis, of Utica in college at SUNY-Oswego and we married upon graduation from college. I attended SUNY-Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for medical school then went on to the University of Vermont in Burlington for my residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. We then moved to Wheeling, West Virginia where I had my first private practice for 9 years. In 2002 we relocated back to the area. I spent my first year at Bassett Healthcare until I was fortunate enough to be offered an opportunity to join Medical Arts OBGYN in 2003.
My wife, Elena is the assistant elementary school librarian at Oxford Road Elementary School. Our 3 children are 12,10 and 8 actively involved in sports and music. Don’t be surprised to see me at the AYSO soccer games or elementary school basketball games as a coach and/or referee.
I bring to our practice a wealth of experience and expertise in evaluation and treatment of infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain, pelvic floor defects and urinary incontinence, and high risk obstetrics.

I am originally from Michigan. After completing my residency, I began practicing obstetrics and gynecology in the United States Navy. Among my travels was an assignment to Keflavik, Iceland, where I was the sole Ob/Gyn for a large NATO base.
Since leaving the Navy, my family has been very happy in Central New York. I enjoy singing barbershop music, biking, tennis, golf and all things tech. I am an apple computer enthusiast. My wife teaches and performs research at SUNY-Poly and we have a wonderful adult daughter.
Professionally, I am involved in minimally invasive surgery, treatment for urinary incontinence and infertility. I am also the Physician Champion for Information Technology at the hospital. In this role, I am helping to transform the hospital from a paper based environment to an electronic health record which will improve patient safety.
