Personal:
I was born and raised in the Adirondack Mountains in the small town of North Creek where Gore Mountain skiing is located. I met my wife, Elena Dylis, of Utica in college at SUNY-Oswego and we married upon graduation from college. I attended SUNY-Upstate Medical University in Syracuse for medical school then went on to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington for my residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. We then moved to Wheeling, West Virginia where I had my first private practice for 9 years. In 2002 we relocated back to the area. I spent my first year at Bassett Healthcare until I was fortunate enough to be offered an opportunity to join what was formerly known as Medical Arts OBGYN (now called Medical Arts Gynecology and Infertility) in 2003. I have been here ever since.
I am happily married to my dear wife, Elena, since 1985. We are blessed with 3 wonderful children. My oldest is Jillian and she is now a Veterinarian. My middle child is my son, Reid, and he is a Physician Assistant. My youngest is Laurel and she is a recent graduate from University of Vermont with a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences.
After 31 years of delivering probably somewhere between 8,000 and 9,000 babies, I retired from Obstetrics in July of 2020. I still work full time with my practice now focused solely on serving women’s healthcare needs in gynecology.
